Top 10 Casino in Las Vegas

It is hard to make a list over the 10 best casinos in Las Vegas because different persons will undoubtedly like different casinos based on their own opinions and which games they like. A poker player might not like the same casinos as a slot fanatic or a baccarat aficionado, and a hobby gambler might not be looking for the same things in a casino as the seasoned pro. This list should therefor not be seen as the definitive list over the 10 best casinos in Las Vegas – although we have tried to chose casinos that cater to everyone - but rather as a list of 10 very good casinos well worth a visit.

  1. Bellagio

Bellagio is number one on our list due to their excellent poker games, nice casino floor and stunning parking that with its fountain define Las Vegas. The fountain in itself is most likely a more popular tourist destination than the casino and it has been this way even since Frank Sinatra danced in it to "Luck be a lady". Bellagio is primarily a high roller casino even if there are some cheaper options available as well.

  2. Ceasar's Palace.

Caesar's Palace is one of the most famous casinos in Vegas and has been the setting for a long row of movies and TV-shows. They do not just offer casino games but also excellent race and sports betting. Ceasar's Palace houses over 2000 slot and video poker machines. The casino floor is divided into two sections, the older high stakes section and the new Olympic casino for low and mid stakes players. The hotel rooms are also something to be experienced; they are huge and have bathrooms designed after roman baths.

  3. Red Rock Casino

Red Rock Casino is perhaps not as spectacular as the two casinos above it on this list, and it is located off The Strip. It is however a favorite among the locals and it is a good place to visit to get a more genuine experience and play with real Las Vegas residents.

  4. Binions

Perhaps not the best place to visit unless you are into poker, but if you are you will find a huge selection of games here. This casino made it to the list for all the poker lovers out there and because it is a part of the classic Las Vegas. It might feel a little run down compared to the casinos on The Strip, but it is an indispensable part of Vegas history.

  5. The Mirage

The Mirage sets the tone for the experience when you walk in through the door and see the giant fish tank in the lobby. The Mirage offers great gambling regardless of what games you like, form poker and blackjack to roulette and slot machines. The Mirage is visited by a lot of accomplished players, and beginner players might prefer to go somewhere else for there first few casino visits.

  6. MGM Grand Casino and Hotel

MGM Grand is the biggest casino and entertainment complex in the world and a lot bigger than the second biggest casino in Las Vegas. MGM Grand have four different gaming floors, from glitzy Hollywood to elegant and classic Monte Carlo. It is home to over 3,700 slot machines and video poker machines. The MGM Grand is the perfect place for the family with young children as they offer a lot of other activities than gambling, including a 33 acre theme park.

  7. The Venetian

This little part of Venice recreated in the desert is a casino that one shouldn't miss when in Las Vegas. They have over 2,500 slot machines, numerous table games and one of the biggest poker sections in Las Vegas. The Ventian also contains a lot of great restaurants and opportunities for high end shopping. It is an expensive hotel and resort but a wonderful experience if you can afford it.

  8. Mandalay Bay

Mandalay Bay is a nice casino that offers a wide variety of games and slot machines in a beautiful blue shimmering environment. It is one of the most affordable casinos on The Strip and the perfect destination for a gambler on a budget that wants to stay on The Strip rather than seek out the accommodation options of Downtown Las Vegas.

  9. New York, New York

New York, New York is an excellent casino with a large assortment of games but that is not what places it on this list - it is all that they offer on the side that puts them here. They have among other things an indoor roller coaster and the best food court in Las Vegas.

  10. The Stratosphere

The stratosphere makes the list not because it is a supreme casino but because it is a must for anyone visiting Las Vegas. This does not mean that it is a bad casino by any means. All it means is that the main reason to visit this casino is the fantastic view of The Strip you get from the top floor. Visiting the top floor and looking out over The Strip after dark should be a part of any trip to Las Vegas. When you are at the top you will be 300m / 1000 ft above The Strip below you. The Stratosphere also offers some fantastic, and scary, rides on top of the casino.
